About

Hi, I'm Will — a photographer and filmmaker based in [location], happiest deep in nature with a camera in hand.

It all started over fifteen years ago when I picked up my first camera, though the love of the outdoors came earlier: childhood dog walks through local woods and camping trips with my father, a fisherman, watching the seasons turn. A camera gave me a way to hold onto those moments, and it's been my companion ever since.

My work centres on the wild — landscapes, nature and wildlife, and the small, overlooked details close to the ground: plants, mushrooms, insects. Running alongside that is a strong thread of outdoor adventure and sport photography, much of it bouldering — the rocks and the forest scenery, a climber reading a line, the effort and the quiet between attempts. For years climbing and slacklining were how I spent my own time outdoors; more recently that's shifted toward long-distance hiking and wild camping. Over the past two seasons I've hiked and wild-camped more than 1,100km across the Scottish Highlands, most recently linking the West Highland Way into the Cape Wrath Trail — often called Britain's toughest long-distance walk — carrying everything I needed and filming as I went.

That trip marks a shift I'm leaning into: from stills toward storytelling in motion. Alongside the photography I'm now making cinematic outdoor films and adventure pieces — the trails, the camps, the quiet hours in between — with more journeys already mapped.

Prints and calendars of the landscape and nature work are available to bring a little of the outdoors into your space, and the films will live here as they're finished. I make this work to invite people to slow down and look. If you'd like a print, or just want to swap trail notes, get in touch.
