Who we are

This website is operated by Will Gent, a sole trader trading as Will Gent Photography (“we”, “us”). Our contact email is info@willgent.co.uk.

What data we collect and why

We collect personal data only when you take an action on this site:

• Placing an order— your name, email address, and delivery address are collected via Stripe’s secure checkout and stored in our order records. This is necessary to fulfil your order (contract performance).
• Contact form — your name and email address, so we can respond to your enquiry (legitimate interest).
• Analytics — this site uses Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not collect personally identifiable information. No consent banner is required.

Third-party services

• Stripe— payment processing. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe’s servers; we never see or store them. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
• Sanity — content management system hosting our site content. No visitor data is processed by Sanity.
• Vercel — website hosting and analytics. Vercel Analytics is privacy-first and collects no personal data.
• Prodigi — print fulfilment. Your name and delivery address are shared with Prodigi to produce and ship your order.

Data retention

Order records are retained for a minimum of six years to comply with UK tax law. Contact form messages are deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Object to processing or request restriction
• Portability of data provided in a machine-readable format

This site uses only essential session storage (for your shopping cart) and Vercel’s cookieless analytics. No tracking or advertising cookies are set. No consent banner is required.
